Lowell Foster, 71, Route 1, Marshall, died at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Tuesday, Jan. 1, at 11:50 p.m.

Lowell Foster, 71, Route 1, Marshall, died at Union Hospital, Terre Haute, Tuesday, Jan. 1, at 11:50 p.m., having been ill five weeks. He was born on Route 1, Attica April 28, 1913, the son of William C. and Ruth Allen Foster. He had formerly lived in Attica and Battle Ground and had been a resident of Route 1, Marshall for the past nine years. He was married June 26, 1936, in Attica to Anna Marie Leak, who survives.

He was a graduate of Attica High School and had been employed at the Egyptian Lacquer Co. in Lafayette for 23 years, having retired there as a receiving clerk. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Battle Ground and the Odd Fellows Lodge of Battle Ground. Surviving, besides the wife, are four daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Ethel) Stinebaugh, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. James (Willa) Talbert, Route 1, Marshall; Mrs. David (Edith) Bowlus, Lafayette, and Mrs. Bobby (Sharon) Williams, Battle Ground; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were in the Maus Funeral Home Chapel, Attica, today (Friday) at 1 p.m. with the Rev. R. Larry Smith officiating. Burial was in Bethany Cemetery, Marshall. Funeral services for Lowell Foster, 71, Marshall, who died Tuesday, Jan. 1, were held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, Friday, Jan. 4, with the Rev. R. Larry Smith officiating. Selections of “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Beyond the Sunset” were played. Burial followed at Bethany Cemetery, Marshall. Those who served as pallbearers were Edward L. Logan, Bob Williams, John Williams, Martin Talbert, Jim Talbert, Dennis Stinebaugh, Jerry Foster, and Randy Gates.
